A splendid Louis XVI trumeau in perfect condition, crafted at the end of the 18th century. This exceptional piece of furniture features perfect proportions and a direct, symmetrical line, with a high-quality solid oak wood structure. It is a complex piece composed of three essential parts: a chest of drawers at the bottom, a drop-down top that serves as a central desk, and a rare upper cabinet with doors, where an open display case is usually found.

The upper cornice is adorned with two simple volutes framing an elegant central finial. In the lower part, the drawers progressively decrease in size, following traditional English aesthetics, and are embellished with side handles. The furniture is veneered in burr wood, creating a strong visual impact, and its decorativeness harmoniously contrasts with the simplicity of the volumes, also defined by a light wood inlay that geometrically frames all elements of the trumeau. The internal structure is equally sophisticated; the drop-down top, a distinctive feature of the Louis XVI trumeau with a drop-down top, can be easily opened to transform into a desk, supported by robust, retractable horizontal supports. This closable compartment contains numerous drawers and paper holders, along with a practical secret compartment, accessible through a fake central drawer positioned higher up. The upper part of the cabinet encloses additional drawers and storage compartments, making it not only a magnificent piece of furniture but also extremely functional.

The furniture stands out not only for its aesthetic beauty but also for the solidity of its construction; oak has also been used for the bottoms of the drawers and for the complex structure supporting the desk and the upper cabinet, demonstrating unparalleled craftsmanship. Restoration:

The furniture is in its first patina and has never been restored, remaining free of woodworm and preserving its authenticity.
