The Meisterstück Around the World in 80 Days collection is inspired by Jules Verne’s famous adventure novel Around the World in Eighty Days. The Doué Classique Ballpoint Pen with a gold-finished metal cap and anthracite dégradé lacquer barrel draws inspiration from the second leg of the journey, from Bombay to Yokohama. In this second adventurous stage, the protagonists travel on a majestic elephant, which appears in a cartouche on the cap. The gold-finished metal cap features an engraved pattern symbolising good fortune. The clip features a red lacquered ace of diamonds, representing Fogg's gamble to complete the journey in 80 days. The top of the cap is embossed with the duration of the journey, 25 days from Bombay to Yokohama, and 80 days in total.
