The Multifort Chronometer¹ watch is equipped with the exclusive Caliber 80 automatic movement optimized with silicon technology. Particularly precise and durable, it is decorated with a côtes de Genève motif, a hallmark of the collection. It also features a graduated bezel and an even more refined look, thanks to the satin-finished indexes and hands. Its special caseback features an integrated engraved flange.
CALIBER 80 CHRONOMETER SILICON
MIDO has decided to optimize its most representative movement, the Caliber 80, by equipping it with a silicon balance spring.
In addition to its anti-magnetic properties, this material, which is essential in fine watchmaking, offers long-term precision much higher than that of a normal balance spring, with higher impact resistance characteristics. The watch is a COSC-certified chronometer and offers an exceptional power reserve of up to 80 hours of power reserve.
COSC TIME TRIAL
The "chronometer" certification guarantees the high precision of a watch or movement.
The tests conducted by the COSC include verification of the number engraved on the watch movement and checks in a test environment. Each movement is individually controlled according to a rigorous procedure of several days in five positions and at different temperatures (8°C, 23°C and 38°C). For 15 days, the watch is checked daily. Every day, including Saturdays and Sundays, the instruments are measured and charged. If the movement meets the requirements, chronometry certification is issued.
