Magnificent 5-drawer chest of drawers in solid poplar with a walnut burl front and original Carrara white marble top, from the Southern Italian region and dating back to the late 19th century. A piece of furniture of great construction quality: the solid walnut sides, the thick walnut burl veneer front with its flame grain, the Carrara marble top set into the walnut frames — all bear witness to the mastery of 19th-century Southern Italian cabinetmakers.
