Antique 19th-century domed trunk made of poplar wood, covered with wrought and decorated iron. An extraordinary piece that carries the memory of a real journey: the inscriptions on the lid attest to its transport from the port of Salerno to the port of Naples, bound for the United States of America — likely New York — a living testament to Italian emigration at the end of the 19th century.
