Willy Rizzo (19282013) was a remarkably original figure in twentieth-century Italian design and visual culture. A world-renowned photographer, his images appeared on the covers of Paris Match, Life, Vogue, and Harper's Bazaar, portraying Marilyn Monroe, Brigitte Bardot, Pablo Picasso, and Coco Chanel. In the 1970s, he combined photography with a second career as a furniture designer, collaborating with Mario Sabot. His piecesin chromed steel with essential geometries and an aura of glamourare now highly sought after by international collectors, particularly in the French, British, and American markets.
